Abstract : THE IMPACT OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT ON BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
The objective of this study is to examine the impact of supply chain management (SCM) on business performance, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction. A survey design is employed due to its ability to gather extensive data from a diverse population, facilitating comprehensive analysis. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 400 respondents is derived to ensure statistical significance. The case study focuses on a global manufacturing firm based in Lagos. The reliability coefficient score of 0.88 indicates high reliability of the survey instrument. Findings reveal that effective SCM practices significantly enhance business performance by improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing customer satisfaction. Recommendations include investing in advanced SCM technologies and continuous improvement of SCM practices to sustain business performance.
